Hou Shaoyu, Lecturer
Profile:
Hou Shaoyu, Doctor, Instructor, Lecturer. In 2005, he joined the Faculty of Power Engineering of North China Electric Power University (Beijing). In 2009, he joined the National Energy Group Zhenjiang Jianbi Power Plant as a turbine engineer. In 2011, he entered the School of Energy and Environment of Southeast University for his master's degree, and worked as a research assistant in the National Engineering Research Center for Thermal Power Unit Vibration, conducting research on rotor dynamics. In 2014, he entered the School of Mechanical Engineering at the State University of New York at Stony Brook for his doctoral studies. He majored in solid mechanics and minored in power engineering, and his research interests included measuring and optimizing the mechanical properties of composite materials. During his studies, he worked as a teaching assistant for statics and mechanics of materials, taught solid mechanics experiments, and assisted in teaching mechanics of composite materials, engineering structural mechanics, and elastic mechanics. In May 2019, he became the vice president of R&D of Jiangsu East Lishen Lifting Equipment Co., Ltd, responsible for product technology development and quality system connection (JEF Steel, CMI Energy, ABB, etc.). He joined Shenzhen Technology University in April 2020.
