On December 2, 2024, Liu Weihua, General Manager of the 12th Division of BYD Shenzhen, and Zhang Xiaoxin, Executive Chairman of the China Smart City Construction Investment Alliance, visited the School of New Materials and New Energy at Shenzhen Technology University (hereinafter referred to as "the School"). They had an in-depth exchange on promoting cooperation in automotive materials and energy. The Dean of the School, Han Peigang, Deputy Dean Zhang Wang, and other faculty members attended the event.

The 12th Division of Shenzhen BYD and the China Smart City Construction Investment Alliance visited the key laboratory of Shenzhen Super Diamond and Functional Crystal Application Technology and the material micro-nano manufacturing technology center of the college.

 

After visiting the laboratory, both parties immediately held an in-depth symposium. At the meeting, Dean Han Peigang introduced the establishment process, positioning, and educational goals of the New Materials and New Energy College. The college is committed to meeting the needs of high-end manufacturing development, with a significant mission to address current issues related to materials, energy, resources, and the environment. It particularly focuses on solving "choke point" problems for local Shenzhen enterprises. Both sides should fully leverage their respective resources and advantages, further enhance activity exchanges and cooperation, and jointly explore the high-quality development of automotive materials and energy.

 

Following that, General Manager Liu Weihua introduced BYD's progress in the automotive materials sector, sharing the company's experiences and achievements in automotive materials and energy. He expressed earnest hopes and needs for enhanced cooperation to fully integrate existing resources and promote multi-level business collaboration. Chairman Zhang Xiaoxin shared the experience and outcomes of China Intelligence Alliance in ecosystem building, standardization, and smart park development, looking forward to both parties working together to build a bridge of cooperation. By leveraging resource sharing and complementary strengths, they aim to further expand areas of collaboration.

 

Finally, the two sides successfully reached a consensus on talent training and project cooperation and development, and took this opportunity to take photos together.
