Chai Guangyue, Professor

Profile:

Chai Guangyue, Professor, Head of Light Source and Lighting, Head of Optical Engineering, Director of Shenzhen Semiconductor Lighting Failure and Thermal Management Public Service Platform and Director of Semiconductor Application Technology Joint Laboratory. He is engaged in researching semiconductor photonic integration and its application in fiber optic communication, high-power semiconductor light-emitting devices (LD, LED) and application technology. As a subject leader, he has conducted more than 30 research projects at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, passed nearly 20 technical examinations at the national and provincial levels, won one National Invention 2nd Prize, one National Science and Technology Progress 3rd Prize, five Ministry of Electronics Ministerial Science and Technology Progress 12th Prizes, and won one National "863" Program Outstanding Individual 2nd Prize, and was awarded the Excellent Young Expert of Science and Technology by the Ministry of Electronics Industry. He has obtained more than 30 invention patents and utility model patents, published two monograph and textbooks, and published more than 20 papers. He is the deputy director of the Professional Committee of Semiconductor Light Source Systems of the Chinese Electrotechnical Society. He is also the head of the Human Resources Training Working Group of the National Semiconductor Lighting Engineering Research, Development and Industry Alliance. He is currently working on visible light communication based on illumination, quantum dot encapsulation and optical design applied to wide color space and ultra-thin direct downlight, and health lighting, supported by national key electronic projects, Guangdong key research and enterprises.
