Xie Zhengcai, Master, Professor. In 1983, he graduated from Nanjing Normal University with a bachelor's degree, and in 1986, he graduated from the Institute of Electronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences with a master's degree; in the same year, he joined the 55th Research Institute of the former Ministry of Electronics Industry in Nanjing, where he served as the head of the light-emitting flat panel display technology research laboratory, deputy director and director of the research laboratory, deputy director of the flat panel display center, etc.; in May 1997, he was promoted to researcher. In June 2000, he was transferred to Shenzhen University, where he was the head of the Department of Optoelectronic Technology Science in the School of Optoelectronic Engineering, the deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Devices and Systems, and the Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Devices and Systems of the Ministry of Education (Shenzhen University). He was the Secretary General of Shenzhen Flat Panel Display Industry Association.

He has long been engaged in the research and development of flat panel display technologies, including electrochromic display (ECD), plasma display (PDP), and liquid crystal display (LCD). He was awarded the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress by the Ministry of Electronics, the honorary title of Excellent Youth of Science and Technology by the Ministry of Electronics, and the New Long March Leader of Jiangsu Province; He was a member of the National 863 Plan "Tenth Five-Year Plan" Flat Panel Display Technology Special Strategic Expert Group, and a member of the Ministry of Information Industry Electronics Industry "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and National Medium and Long-Term Planning Expert Group. In the past ten years, he has been mainly engaged in the research of new indium-free transparent conductive films and new metal oxide TFT materials and devices. He is the author of more than 30 academic publications.

In terms of teaching, he has been in charge of the application, design and construction of the undergraduate program of Optoelectronics Engineering and Science at Shenzhen University, and has taken over the teaching of such undergraduate courses as Introduction to Optoelectronics and Measurement and Regulation, Electrodynamics, Fundamentals of Electromagnetic Fields and Electromagnetic Waves, Optoelectronic Screens, TFT Fundamentals and Technologies, Device Fabrication Fundamentals and Technologies, Semiconductor Device Fabrication, and the postgraduate course of FPD Screens. He has trained 25 postgraduate students, including 2 doctoral students.
