Deng Liwei, Associate Professor

 

Profile:

Deng Liwei, Associate Professor, is a high-level talent in Shenzhen. She received her bachelor's degree from Sichuan Normal University in 2003, and her doctorate degree from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2008. She was a doctoral visitor at Carnegie Geophysical Institute, Washington, USA, from 2006 to 2007. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Earth and Space Sciences, Peking University, Beijing, China, from October 2008 to September 2010, and a postdoctoral researcher at Carnegie Geophysical Institute, Washington, USA, from October 2010 to September 2012; she was a visiting scholar at Argonne National Laboratory, USA, from April 2013 to July 2013. She was appointed as a post professor by the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences from October 2015 to October 2018, as an associate researcher by the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences from September 2012 to November 2018, and as an associate professor by the School of New Materials and New Energy, Shenzhen Technology University in November 2018. She is the author of more than ten scientific research papers. She has been in charge of the general program "Experimental study of carbon solubility in mantle MgSiO3 perovskite crystals and melts" of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and the "Molecular simulation and impact compression experiments on the stability of sodium feldspar NaAlSi3O8 phase in mantle under temperature and pressure conditions" of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and the "High-pressure carbon solubility in mantle MgSiO3 perovskite crystal" by the Ministry of Education Scientific Research Start-up Fund for Returned Overseas Chinese She participated in the Strategic Pioneer Science and Technology Project (Class B) "Earth's Internal Operating Mechanism and Surface Response" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Major Project "Geological Evolution of the Early Moon (4.5-3 billion years)" of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. She is mainly engaged in theoretical and experimental research on the physical properties of materials under extreme conditions.
