Kong Lingbing, Distinguished Professor

 

Profile:

He is a Distinguished Professor of Shenzhen Technology University and a Category B talent selected by the "Peacock Plan" for introducing overseas high-level talents to Shenzhen. He received his doctorate degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1997. From January 1998 to December 1999, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and from January 2000 to March 2002, he was a Research Fellow at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. From April 2002 to January 2012, he was a Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist at the National University of Singapore. From February 2012 to June 2018, he was an Associate Professor at the School of Materials and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. He has been in charge of and participated in a number of research projects, including the Singapore Ministry of Education and National Foundation and the Guangdong Provincial Key Project on Basic and Applied Foundations. His research interests include functional ceramics, nanomaterials and composites, covering materials preparation, characterization and applications. In recent years, his main work includes researching and promoting the industrialization of ceramic powders, and has been involved in materials such as 5G ceramic filter powders, ceramic packaging substrates, various ceramic targets for coating, transparent ceramics, and high-end electronic ceramics. He has published more than 300 scientific papers and 6 books in English. He has been granted 13 invention patents and 1 utility model patent. He is listed in the "Top 2% Scientists of the World (2021 World's Top 2% Scientists)" and "Lifetime Impact" lists (1960-2021).
