The Quantum Spin Materials and Advanced Thin Film Technology Research Center of Shenzhen Technology University is established based on the School of New Materials and New Energy of Shenzhen Technology University and the university-level scientific and technological innovation center. It is committed to cutting-edge scientific research and technological innovation, focusing on fields such as magnetic thin films and spintronics technology, fourth-generation semiconductor thin films and growth technology, as well as thin film surface physics and microscopic technology.

The current projects undertaken include: General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Innovation Team Project of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, General Program of the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, General Program of the Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation, Youth Program of the Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Regional Joint Fund, Characteristic Innovation Project of Regular Universities in Guangdong Province, Research Funding for High-end Talents of Shenzhen Technology University, etc. In response to the latest development plan of the university, the research center closely follows the development needs of the national high-end industries, and is committed to cultivating high-level researchers and high-end applied technical talents with an international vision, innovative thinking and the spirit of craftsmanship. The goal is to break through the frontiers of new thin film science, strengthen the core supporting capabilities in the fields of materials, energy, environment, health and other national and people's livelihoods, and at the same time establish an important scientific research support platform serving the national and regional development, contributing to promoting scientific and technological innovation and serving social development.
